An Irish Blessing

"May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand."

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

  2. What a lovely blessing:) We should have been going to Milford, County Donegal to my friend's son's wedding this coming weekend but have had to cancel because of unforseen circumstances - I feel really sad because I would love to have gone over there.

  3. And Happy St. Patrick's Day to you too! We're going to a St. Pat's celebration tonight- a meeting of the Irish-American Club which, of course, celebrates the day in grand style every year. We'll have a full entree, and - my favorite - soda bread with butter! YUMMY!! We sing all the old Irish songs and have a quiz about Ireland with door prizes. What fun!

And, I cannot believe you actually got to hold the Kelmscott Chaucer!! What a delicious experience that must have been!

  6. I once found a four-leaf clover. It is pressed in my childhood autograph book, although starting to disintegrate after all these years. Happy St Patricks Day. x

  7. I absolutely adore this photo. One of my best friends, Julie, can find a four leafed clover in just about any patch of clover in the world. I don't know how she does it. I've never known anyone to find so many. I think she could open a business selling 'em!
