March Wedding

Earlier this month, when the sun shone and skies were blue, Tony and I were guests at a wedding, where the son of old and dear friends married his beautiful bride. It was a perfect spring wedding as you can see and I for one shed a little tear when the bride walked down the aisle.

  1. I wonder, was the wedding as original as your superb choice of images? They suggest it was very traditional.

  4. Never seen cake(s) like that - is this something new or am I just old and out of touch with wedding cakes 2009 style!

  5. The wedding was a mixture of traditional and modern. The groom's mum had plans to make the wedding cake but broke her wrist, the little cup cakes were to eat with a glass of champagne whilst the photographs were being taken, the main dinner was served a few hours later and very nice it was too!

  6. Valerie - what super photographs of a wedding - much more subtle than the usual stuff. And those cakes/sweets or whatever - my mouth is watering.

  7. Lovely photos. The cupcake thing for weddings is really big over here in the U.S. But one wonders how the bride and groom make a wish on the first cut of a cake! Maybe they have special little cupcake cutting knives for that:)

  10. Beautiful photos, and yes, I am another one to find tears in my eyes when true sweet happiness is on display.

Maybe the tears are sort of an emotional toast! No bubbles, but very sincere.
